You Were Made For A Purpose

Made for a purpose

Do you wonder if there’s a purpose, made for your life?

Do the circumstances surrounding you make you feel your life is lost in the wind?

You’re not alone, sister. We’ve all had cups of such bitter water.

I remember sitting on my bed one day, confused. Different questions ran through my mind.

God, what’s the purpose of my being on Earth? What do you want me to do with my life? Lord, my life seems to have no bearing… I feel so lost and stuck. Like in the centre of a vast wilderness.

I knew I wanted to live a fulfilled life. To live life on purpose. I wanted my life to shine – to be Radiant. But I felt so lost and confused at the time. Things weren’t working the way I thought and planned.

As I sought answers to this heart-searching questions, God held my hands day after day, and till this moment, He keeps leading me to the centre of His will.

In my search through the scriptures, the life of one man who’s life was Radiant stood out to me. I mean, the “radiance” was so glaring that people could behold it – he had to cover his face to talk to people.

Wow! What made this man radiant? As I studied his life, the secret lay bare on the pages of the scripture.

Throughout this month, I’ll be sharing with you, lessons I draw from the life of Moses. Timeless secrets that will make your life Radiant as well… Truly fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.

But now, you might just be wondering – will my life ever shine like that of Moses? You don’t even know my background. You can’t guess all that’s happened to me before now.

When Your Beginnings Appear Hopeless

Friend, you might have forgotten where Moses cam from. He was born in a period when the king of the land wanted all children dead. His mum managed to keep him for three months, and then dropped him off in the middle of the river. She waited. And watched. What will befall of my baby?

Can you imagine? When even from your mum’s womb, you’re rejected, and then cast out to weather the storms of life yourself.

Do you feel that way? The circumstances surrounding your birth tells you you weren’t even needed. You were abused and mistreated all through your growing up years.
Even your name points to the negative situation about you and your birth. Like “Jabez”…

Whatever it is friend, I want you to know that God makes beauty from ashes.

God Makes No Mistakes – His Purpose Will Be Fulfilled

Amid loneliness and hopelessness in which Moses lay, God sent Pharoah’s daughter. It’s was no coincidence.

The Bible says that all things work together for good to them that love God and to them who are called according to His purpose.

Your bitter beginnings, when passed through God’s refining fire will produce better tomorrows that will make your life RADIANT.

Made for a purpose

For I know the thoughts I think towards you said the Lord, thoughts of good and not of evil to give you an expected end.

God has a purpose, a plan for your life. He wants to use your life experiences to draw souls to Himself. But, you have to surrender to Him.

Moses didn’t sulk away, pointing accusing fingers in God for all that’s been happening in his life.

He drank in the truth of God’s word which His mum taught him during the period she weaned him. He loved God and desired to use his life to fulfil God’s purpose of delivering the Israelites from oppression.

In his book, The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren said – If you really desire to be used by God, you must understand a powerful truth: The very experiences that you have resented or regretted most in life—the ones you’ve wanted to hide and forget—are the experiences God wants to use to help others.
They are your ministry!

That’s it, dear friend. You’ll be shocked at all God will do in, with, and through your life.

But it all begins at the foot of the cross. That’s where you meet Jesus, exchange those ashes for beauty, and take off the journey towards fulling your purpose, with God.

If your life is marred in sin, meet Jesus at the cross and be washed in His blood. That look and vow will bring you a life of bliss and rest.

And right there, this truth will make a whole much sense to you – You Were Made For A Purpose.

Fulfil it. Arise, girl. You are needed in the land.

Now you might be wondering, what steps do I take to fulfilling this purpose.

Living in God’s Purpose

A lot of people struggle in life because they live outside God’s purpose. It’s just like forcing yourself into someone’s clothes. You’re not comfortable in it. You dissipate energy and time, yet achieve little or nothing. Not just that, you’re not happy. Take these three steps and set yourself free, into God’s purpose for you.

  1. Discover it: What do you love doing? What do you do better and easier than others? You hear and read such questions a dozen times, right? Well… They’re great questions. And, the back-up statement usually is – think and find out.

But it’s not enough to think. You need to get out there and try it out. I knew I loved sharing ideas with people, helping them live better lives… But I didn’t “think” I could write – using written words to spread the ideas. Yes. I had to start writing before I knew this is “my thing”.

So friend, get all out and employ what comes your way to live out those dreams in your heart. It will click. And of course, you can’t even know where to start without consulting God – praying. Then when He drops something in your heart, just do it. While serving, you’ll find “home”.

2. Digest it: There’s a disease that has fallen on humanity, especially in these days of media. Comparison and discontentment. Sisters in crime. You look around and it appears, your neighbour’s life is more fulfilling than yours.

As believers, we all are “seated with Christ”. (Ephesians 2:5). You have your sit. I have mine. Given by God. You ask God what doest thou. You find a fault with the talent He’s given you.

You remember that unprofitable servant (Matthew 25: 14-30). Ohh… You won’t be like him in Jesus name.

3. Develop it: Paul said Timothy, “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee…” (2 Timothy 1:6) Don’t remain in level 1. Grow. Study. Work. Expand the gift. You remember the profitable servants in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30); with five (5) and two (2) and talents each. They doubled it. God blessed them. To him who has shall be given, and who had none that which He has shall be taken away.

It’s time to go Live your life on purpose. Whether lonely or with friends, when life feels empty or when it’s like green grass, let your life be – handfuls of purpose.

Remain Radiant.

  1. ….Amid loneliness and hopelessness in which Moses lay, God sent Pharoah’s daughter. It was no coincidence…definitely not a coincidence ….Yeah I strongly agree with this because all things worketh together for our own good, it may appear seemingly negative but we must remain optimistic because there is definitely a silver lining in the darkest of clouds if only we believe.
    Thanks dear an enlightening write-up…
